Benedict Arnold became a traitor, but once was a loyalist. He was an American General who fought for American independence from the British Empire in the Continental Army during the American Revolution. He also tricked the British into fighting a battle that didn’t exist. After he was court-marshaled for using the army for his own personal reasons, he started making deals with the British because he wanted more money and was in debt. Even though British didn’t fully trust Arnold, they still assisted in making him a British officer. Bendict ArnoldVideo Major GeneralBiography Clip
